Where was I when Dispatch was in their prime?

I thought I was pretty in tune with 90’s music but apparently I missed one.  I randomly DVR’d some shows on Fuse and recorded Dispatch “Zimbabwe”.  I started watching it and was into them after a couple songs.  I’m not sure if they were not terribly popular in the West or what, but they sold out MSG for their last show.  After seeing them on TV, I quickly googled them up and found out that they had a pretty strong following in the mid to late 90’s.  I’m not sure if I agree with the “jam band” label – just because a band has a “grass roots” following and no radio or label support.  Nor could I imagine the dreadlocked, pechulli, crowd in college really being into them – maybe the DMB fans, but not the Phriendlies.  I have quickly grabbed some Dispatch bootlegs from archive.org (great place to get some free tunes) including one of the Wetlands show.  Any other sources of Dispatch boots would be appreciated.  They got some catchy rifs and appear to be talented musicians.  Elias, Bats in the Bellfrey, and Bang Bang are some of my favs so far. I wish I would’ve at least discovered them when I lived in Denver because I probably could have at least checked out Braddigan around there since he lives their now and has a side project. If you’re into old DMB or O.A.R., you should definitely check out Dispatch.
